I decided to go inside to check on our order, and I found four employees standing around the counter chatting, with no customers inside the restaurant. When I asked about our food, one of the employees said it would be just two minutes. I returned to my vehicle, and about ten minutes later, a different employee brought out our food. He apologized for the wait, and when my sister asked what had caused the delay, he rudely responded, "Well, do you want them raw?" My sister told him not to be so rude, and without warning, he started yelling, instructing us to never come back and to leave immediately. I had the worst experience at this Hardee's for lunch! The restrooms were absolutely filthy—there was a mess in the ladies' room that looked like someone had explosive diarrhea and it hadn't been cleaned up. My husband said the men's room was in just as bad a condition, with a toilet that wouldn't flush. We informed the cashier, Betty, and another male employee that it needed urgent attention and suggested they notify the manager. Betty told us they were aware of the issue but that the person responsible for cleaning wouldn't be in for another hour. The location itself is decent and relatively clean for a fast food restaurant. However, the girl who took our order didn’t seem very competent. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt—maybe she’s new or just having a rough day. But I was shocked when I saw her eating fries directly from the hopper where they pile them before salting. To make matters worse, she helped herself to a few of my fries while transferring them from the hopper to the bag. We placed a large order, and to their credit, they got about 80% of it right. The food at this place is quite disappointing. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on a biscuit, and it was not good at all. The biscuits were falling apart as soon as I touched them. What really did it for me, though, was when my child Darcie ordered a small vanilla shake—the whipped cream on top was bad. It was super chunky and definitely spoiled. Our experience at Hardee's was very positive overall. We've visited other Hardee's locations where the experience wasn't as good. At the Hardee's in Potosi, Missouri, the food was excellent. However, I must mention that there was a terrible smell upon entering and leaving the building that was quite nauseating. It would be worth passing this feedback along. Despite that, I would definitely rate this Hardee's a 5 out of 5 for its service and food quality in the area.
I just got a vanilla milkshake which tastes like milk and has almost the same consistency when I asked the lady at the window if their milkshakes were this thin she said yes because their milkshakes only have about 8 ounces of ice cream and the rest is milk I am so not happy and will never be going back for another milkshake
