Average food. Nothing special about the food. Chef probably thinks he is “all that” but the food doesn’t hold up. Alden Harlow, the restaurant directly next door, has far superior food. Had dinner next door last night at A H and the food was amazing. Friday night and by 8:30p Harvest was quiet. On our way out, the two very self-important hosts were so engaged in conversation with each other, they didn’t even notice people walking by them. This attitude tends to result in a “vacancy” sign before too long. Much better much options in Cambridge for good food.

Execution of dishes here leaves a lot to be desired. My fried chicken was overcooked and over easy eggs had to be redone with one still coming medium well. My standard for brunch is well executed egg dishes and this place is not it. The crowd is stuffy and staff a bit pretentious. For the quality of food and execution, they should take a good look in the mirror and figure out where things have gone wrong. Service here is lukewarm and the staff spent more time chatting with each other vs providing service.

Food was on the table but took a while to get silverware. I am pretty sure the rice was cooked ahead of time and maybe kept frozen. It was mushy and clumped together. The sauce had dried film on the surface. Pasta was not al dente. Simply too thick and under cooked with the taste of flour. Steak tasted very good with proper char smoke, but not the best value for the price. It is a thin steak, less than 3/4 inch, so no such thing as medium rare. I am sorry for this restaurant.

We came here for our Anniversary dinner and the atmosphere was very pretty. For starters we ordered the fries and French onion soup. The fries were amazing and I’d highly recommend but I wouldn’t recommend the soup. It was too chunky and lacked base. For my entree I got the seared salmon and it was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and I loved the mushrooms. Our waitress was very attentive and I’d recommend coming here for a fancy dinner! Reserva una mesa ahora

It was very annoying that it took three tries before we got a salt shaker with salt in it! I would have enjoyed my omelette more if it had been served with a roll or piece of bread. I was told that would cost more. For $18, it should have been included! Eileen

We grabbed a quick bit before Boston Calling last night and went back for a nightcap. Given the 40,000 attendees for the event, I had low expectations. Everything was delicious and the staff was great.

Harvest never fails to please. Friendly, attentive service. Delicious food, with new many items to try that are innovative. Nice time overall.
