The faithful GastroGuide authors surely remember the “Saarschmecker”. Mr Saarschmecker and Mrs Saarschmecker are still very satisfied, unfortunately the esteemed colleague has retired in writing. More important is: Our personal contact is excellent and good food must not be missed! A few weeks ago Mr. Saarschmecker showed: He cooks excellent – sometimes a Saarland private appointment. Before this private meeting, however, the Saarschmecker proposed an evening at Haus Gudesberg. We chose him and his wife at home and went on the way to the restaurant. Really great quality of food. What really made our experience exceptional was the attention and service we received from waiter, Moustafa Benkhatten who was on hand whenever we needed a top-up and even managed to find us some cheese from outside when we wanted to...More

We arrived with our 2 year old and the restaurant was super friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious, and compared to many restaurants, they actually had healthy options on the kids menu which was fantastic. Would love to go back.
