We're huge fans of Hawaiian Shave Ice—Wailoa's in Honolulu is our go-to spot—so we knew that we wouldn't quite be getting the same experience based on the name alone. However, after seeing another review mention Matsumoto's, we decided to give it a shot. While it doesn't quite measure up to Matsumoto's, it is definitely superior to most shave ice found on the mainland. The texture of the ice is much finer than a typical snow cone. I would have rated it four stars, but the price of $7 each felt a bit steep. We sampled a variety of flavors: root beer, strawberry, cherry, lime, and passion fruit. Overall, the flavors were quite good, with the passion fruit standing out as the best of the bunch.
Your establishment was featured in a Facebook group called "That's Not Hawaiian." Is your business owned by someone from Hawaii? The Hawaiian community does not appreciate being exploited by non-Hawaiians for profit. This is cultural appropriation. And by the way, we say "shave," not "shaved."
The place isn't bad! They offer ice cream, Dippin' Dots, and shaved ice. It costs $20 for four people, which is quite reasonable. The staff is also very friendly!

So much flavors to pick from!!! And very fast service. Never disappoints when I come in!!
Nice variety of flavors. However the coconut syrup flavor was a little too sweet for me.
Definitely overpriced shaved with color syrup. Milkshake next door is way better!!!

just your standard crushed ice cubes with syrup, nothing special.
Really good and fun to mix flavors!! Kids loved it 10/10
