The staff were great, really attentive and very polite. Looking at the menu and seeing the prices I expected a superb meal. Unfortunately the steak I ordered as medium/rare was served as medium/well done. The quality of the steak was it’s saving grace. The chips were also overly greasy and some under cooked to the point of being hard in the middle. It’s a shame because the rest of the experience was great.
that was nice, although my partner had to send his back, so we ate at different times. the service was not good. charged me various prizes for the same drinks claim that they ran out of the one I had and replaced it with a £2.50 more expensive without mentioning it. the breakfast had been running around so that it should be replaced. the table had not been cleaned.
We were very disappointed that the menu that was advertised on the website was not the same menu as that offered in the restaurant and a lot more expensive. Not sure why this was as one of the waitresses said she had worked there 6 months and didn’t even know of this other ‘website’ menu. If we visit this hotel again we will NOT be eating in the hotel restaurant.
Food was lovely. The service was not. We were ignored upon arrival while staff worked out whatever they were looking at on their system. When seated in a near empty restaurant, we made a food order and drinks order. By the time my wine arrived (in a dirty glass with lipstick stains) I’d received and enjoyed my full meal. There was a calm and relaxing environment. The food way okay however the pizza I had I wasn’t expecting the crust to be filled with sauce?! Was expecting cheese. The lemonade was flat and had no flavour. Very expensive considering we didn’t really like it
Lovely meal but the seat we were given was a little too close for comfort to other diners you could clearly hear each other’s conversations and really felt on top of each other). Service was fantastic though so overall I would go back.
Dinner was part of a Xmas present off my daughter, sadly…definitely wasn’t worth the money, dried up butterfly chicken, chips tasted like old potato’s. Sadly not the best at all for a beautiful hotel of its decor and ambience.
