Chef Joel and chef Junya will blow your mind! Their fish ranges from unique flavors/pairings to classic tastings. They really take pride in what they do, and focus on making sure the customer is happy.Food: Anago was my favorite! I got two orders because it was so yummy. Their sauce is made in house and the sushi is served warm. It melts in your mouth and you'll feel like you're in clouds, or living in a beautiful bento box. Uni is also very fresh.Price: The price is written on the blackboard, so you won't be surprised with the bill. Their pricing is very fair.Sit at the bar if you can! Chat with the chefs so they can tailor foods to your palate. I'll be back.
Keep, keep it coming all night long… from the appetizers down to the last bite of dessert, Kisetsu did not disappoint. This is not your typical quantity over quality joint. First off, when it comes to oysters freshness and cleanliness is the game and these guys nail it from their source and how they prepare them. The sushi and sashimi also were high quality, where each nom melted in your mouth with a burst of flavor for each type.The service was on point with waiters constantly checking in and asking if we’re doing well at every opportunity. I highly recommend you take a pit stop at Kisetsu if your in the area and have a hunger for Japanese flair.
If you are looking for exceptional sushi in our area this is your place. The sushi chef is very good at sourcing quality fish. The cut and flavor of each piece we had was excellent. Some of my favorites; the fresh sweet shrimp with perfectly fried heads, the Santa Barbara Uni which tasted like butter and the whole ocean at the same time, the cold clean briny oysters, the meltingly delicious tuna collar. This chef is good and he shines at the sushi counter.
I recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is open under new management, despite its status showing as closed. I had been craving this particular combo, but the other Japanese restaurant I usually go to was not serving it.

Highly trained chefs making incredible sushi (the best I’ve had in a long time) in a nice, relaxed environment. I recommend getting a few nigiri from their daily specials menu!
