Hello Sunshine was such a cool joint after a long drive and day in Jasper. The hostess and wait staff were full of energy, and the menu offerings were a plenty. Wish I could've tried their sake flight but alas I had plenty of road ahead of me tonight. For $100 after tip, I got the scallop ceviche, king salmon oshi (pressed sushi), and for a main, the miso sable fish. Scallop ceviche with the fried wonton chips were A+ and super fresh. The oshi was good, and filling I might add. I would've liked a bit more of that char flavor from the searing process. service: not sure whether it was a particularly hard day for our server, but they seemed uninterested from the beginning. but they have done their job, but nothing more. Eat: they try to do another take on Japanese eating, but it is a bit of a miss for me. their sushi rolls are extremely small for the price (6 small pieces for 15 $ 28). the rice falls apart very easily when they pick it up, and the sushi looks sloppy. I ordered the noodles, and that turned out to be a big mistake. The other dishes were much better. I would skip the crispy Nori chips; they were decent, but the flavor became overpowering the more I ate. I really liked the scallop ceviche—it was light and refreshing. My friends tried the squeezed salmon and the other squeezed sushi, and both said they were amazing and quite filling. I’d recommend going for those dishes when you visit. The atmosphere is fantastic as well—casual and cozy.

The food was amazing Danni, ourbserver couldn’t have been kinder .. Josh the manager welcomed us, delighted to chat with him. and Emilia found us a table as we were walk ins . Everyone working there was clearly happy to be there. The scallop ceviche and carpaccio were fantastic. The ambience is fun and lively. Thank you especially to Danni for a wonderful dining experience

Great new Japanese restaurant. The service was excellent, they were familiar with the menu and followed up during the meal to make sure we were enjoying the food and had everything. The food was excellent as well, had the sable fish as a main, it was the best I have had. Great design inside, including a fire table.

This is the best restaurant in all of Banff! Not only do they serve some of the best sushi we've ever had, but the atmosphere and service are fantastic, enhanced by great music.

Our group had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was charming, making it perfect for our gathering. We really enjoyed ourselves!
