Hemingways Of Haslemere

This charming café, though quite spacious, offers a cozy atmosphere with excellent coffee and delectable cakes. We tried the dark chocolate cake made without milk, and it was perfect for my taste—not overly sweet, and they allow you to pick the amount of chocolate you prefer. The espresso was decent; while it may not reach the level of a specialty coffee shop, it was still enjoyable. We really appreciated the swift service, especially on a busy Sunday afternoon, and the staff's genuine attentiveness. Despite the café being full, it wasn’t excessively loud; we could still hold a normal conversation. I highly recommend this lovely spot for a pleasant time.

Three of us visited Hemingways on a Saturday and were shown to a comfortable table in a corner. There was an excellent choice of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, and it was a pleasure to have waitress service. I really enjoyed my croissant with tomato, mozzarella, pesto and rocket, as it was very fresh and tasty. My son and his partner both had topped granary toast, and I was impressed by the generous servings, especially the mushrooms. Service was friendly, polite and efficient. We loved the decor with its display of aboriginal paintings and beautiful coloured lanterns. Highly recommended!

Popped over to Hemingways after a great walk around the Devil's Punchbowl. Hindhead was packed so opted to explore somewhere nearby and found this place. The cafe itself is beautifully presented. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about the menu. My partner wanted to know more about a certain coffee and they simply whipped up a small sample for her, I've never seen this in a cafe! The coffees and baguettes we had were delicious and filling. We will be back to sample the extensive cake and pastry selection. COVID-19 measures put in place were professional and accommodating.

My mom and I have visited this place so many times! We recommend it to everyone and I also go with friends. The prices are a bit high, so we usually go for the smaller portions, but you definitely get your money's worth! Our only issue is that we always have to ask for the bill when we’re done, as it tends to take a long time otherwise. It can be a bit stressful when the staff is busy, but their friendliness, amazing atmosphere, and excellent food quality make it all worthwhile. they love this place, too time very busy, but never had to wait long for a table. basic menu of sandwichs baked and hunt with a special menu. but they are known for their cakes. sad I have to watch my sugar, but friends tell me the cakes are delicious. the personal is beautiful and despite the work are also attentive. all at a beautiful place to the coffee or lunch. Thank you!

This place had delicious cake and beautiful milkshakes. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly helpful with ingredient inquiries, particularly regarding allergies. We will definitely return next time!
