You want a steak and have the choice between "Hemingway's" and "Alte Schmiede" next door. Which one should you take? It depends. You should prefer Hemingway's if (1) you are really hungry - dishes tend to be more bulky at Hemingway's, (2) you want more space between tables - "Alte Schmiede" is quite crammed, (3) you want some TexMex touch on some dishes, (4) you want a TV screen, (5) you don't mind the pub atmosphere - it is louder than "Alte Schmiede". The tables near the window (left to the entrance) are a bit quieter than those in the middle of the room, though. Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner with plenty of food and everybody was happy.
I have visited this place for lunch several times, and I think it is a very good offer. It is a lunch buffet including three main courses, salads and antipasti and up to three different desserts. The menu is different every day and is very tasty. The cuisine is mostly German with Italian touch. I believe this place is also good for evening and cocktails. Will go again.
We are here on holiday and discovered the restaurant on the 2nd day. It was a hit. Food Tip, simply delicious, service on every day super friendly. Price performance ratio is super. Great praise for the kitchen team, boys and girls you understand your craft. If we're back in town, we'll be back.
Hygiene rules have been adhered to. Sunday brunch was extensive and tasty, coffee and tea are included in the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even the cook came from his kitchen to answer our questions. Recommended.

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. It felt homey. Service was prompt and very polite. As for the food - can't say neither anything good nor bad. It is average
