Henrietta Street Chippy

The two members of staff were lovely which is why my rating is higher than it deserves. The food however was anywhere from underwhelming to unpleasant. My chips in particular had a bitter taste which no amount of salt and vinegar could disguise. Tasted like they had been cooked in fat that had had something burnt in it. They weren't very hot and were also quite tough. I have been here a few times before and although the portion sizes are generous the food is not very nice. Don't think I will bother with this chippy again.

I used to love this chippy but the last few visits the foods hasn't been up to scratch and it doesn't look as clean as it used to be. chips if you can call them that are pale and greasy although portion's are large it doesn't benefit the quality of food that has to be thrown away also chippy doesn't seem as busy as it used to be. what a shame what has happened to what used be a great place. its like they are running it to the ground so they can close

This small chip shop is approx 100 yards from my daughters house. We went for tea when I visited. Having been to Green Lane I wanted to try Henrietta and so glad we did. Everything we had was freshly cooked, the chips crisp and dry but the fish was lightly battered and excellent in both taste and size. I must state I enjoyed far more than Green lane , next stop is Pennington Plaice .

A traditional English chippy which delivers the goods. Not the most extensive menu, hence the quality. Also one or two interesting items ie Fish finger butties) Certainly in my humble opinion) one of the two or three best in the area. Home deliveries on Fridays. Highly recommended. Rubbish service. Have told friends how great this place was... Wish I hadn't now. Ordered burgers through just eat. Took an hour and a half to get a email saying they had cancelled my order. I will NEVER use this place again

I haven't been in for awhile but had no kids in alone and thought I am gonna have chippy tea So I ordered my usual lightly battered fish ,chips and peas It was cooked to perfection the fish is beautiful thanks Bev

Fantastic freshly cooked food why I waited .. very well mannered staff and great value.. ordered fish chips peas and gravy .. yummy

Food dumped by driver over front gate and left on path. No knock on door, or notification.. Chippy unhelpful. Didn't care Reserva una mesa ahora

Best kebabs I town , great portions, and lovley staff , won't get my kebab from anywhere else . Tasty food, big portions.

Not been here in a few months but when i used to visit here the food was always ready fast and offered good value
