visited here at several locations during the holiday in konigswinter, it was only down from the hotel where we were. the weather was fantastic and could therefore sit outside. there was a certain mood over the place and we saw many natives, including...a birthday. we began to have only a few drinks that were very cheap to have a bottle of erdingber whitebeir, we then saw that eating. it looked beautiful and typical German. So we let it go. both I and the boss decided that we would go for the scavenger (sadly sold out the flame cake, but if they got a chance to do it). it was brilliantly carving and the in portions great to be honest, we could have done one between two of us) and at less than euro each meal was fantastic. there are no gloomy on the menu, but if they could actually eat, I would be surprised. there is a small icebox two shops upstairs if they want so much in a pudding. the service was excellent (but please note that the German beer pours longer than Britain or us bier) and the intentional and atmosphere exactly what they want. all around it was a great place. mainly native Germans often appeared to the owners to say hi to the natives) but, as is spoken with all German English, although I did the effort and the personal was remarkably patient of my metzgerei her mother tongue). it is not a sharp kitchen, but authentic German kitchen and beer. worth a visit.
