I had a disappointing experience at Hibino due to poor customer service and unsatisfactory kitchen hygiene. I have visited this restaurant several times and enjoyed many of their sushi and sashimi dishes. However, during my last visit, I found a fish bone in my scallop. When I brought this up with the waitress, she spoke with the kitchen and returned with an excuse, saying that there were some bones and scales on the cutting board. This explanation was not acceptable, and I lost my appetite. Despite noticing that I was upset, the waitress still asked if I wanted a box to take my leftovers home. It’s clear that basic sanitary practices are not being upheld at this establishment. I definitely...

This is the best bento box I have ever had! Whenever I go to a Japanese restaurant and order a bento box, the options are usually mediocre and limited to common dishes like teriyaki. However, this place offers a wide variety, and the flavors are definitely above average. The prices for lunch make it even more appealing. We tried the stir-fried pork belly and the panko-crusted chicken leg. The pork belly had a wonderful smoky flavor, and the taste was well-balanced. The panko chicken was juicy, and the crust was perfectly crispy. I will definitely return and look forward to exploring more of the menu!

The food is fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety of sushi and a couple of salads, all of which were fantastic. The bento box stood out as the highlight of the meal, and I know I'll be ordering one on my next visit. With a diverse menu full of enticing options, there’s plenty to love, making it a solid reason to return. Although it's clearly a local favorite among those in the know, its proximity to the nearby 7 train station makes it an appealing alternative to restaurants in Manhattan.

I tried the chirashi, which featured a decent quality of fish, including salmon, yellowfin, scallop, shrimp, and roe. At $22, I appreciated the effort the chef put into this dish. Overall, I was pleased with my meal and really admired the authenticity of the restaurant. I'm looking forward to returning to try more dishes. However, one challenge is the seating arrangement and the limited space to place your bag, especially when wearing a winter jacket.

This is one of the best and most authentic Japanese restaurants I've ever experienced in NYC. The sushi is outstanding—better than many upscale sushi spots in Manhattan. The fish quality is incredibly fresh. The other dishes are excellent as well, reminiscent of the meals my mom prepares back home in Japan. The interior design is lovely, echoing the vibe of modern, trendy restaurants in Japan. I would definitely return; this place is truly amazing!

I visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend after our climb, and the atmosphere is perfect for a date. I ordered the sushi plate, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. However, the gyu udon soup I had was a bit too salty for my liking. The prices are quite reasonable considering the location. Overall, it's a wonderful spot for sushi lovers, especially for a romantic outing!

I've visited this restaurant multiple times over the years. It has a minimalistic design that feels genuine. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. It's a fantastic place for fresh sushi. We ordered agedashi tofu, a vegan obanzai, tonkatsu, several rolls, and sake. It’s a laid-back atmosphere, but everything is done with care.

The restaurant has a minimalist interior that can be somewhat difficult to locate. However, both the service and the fish are outstanding!
