The atmosphere is romantic and intimate without overstatement. Hikari is fresh with all the appropriate decor of a contemporary Japanese (house) restaurant. The sushi here was amazing! Each dish was flavorful and the presentation of the rolls were all picture perfect! The first night we were so caught off guard by how extraordinary this place was and the food was remarkable, my Fiance and I returned the NEXT night to enjoy again! There was a super nice and knowledgeable waitress who took care of us. She seemed as excited as we were about being there, she described and based her recommendations on what she figured our tastes may enjoy, by listening to our indecisive chatter. Thank you so much...
Hiraki was solid. It will be one of my staple dinner spots in Windsor. I got the sushi meal (16 pieces of nigiri and rolls) with 6oz of hot sake. The fish was fresh and everything had great taste. The bar was open so I sat and watched the chef prepare the meals.Even though it wasn't too busy, it took about 30 mins before I had my food in front of me. They did bring some hot miso soup in the interim (included in the meal). I wasn't in a rush so I relaxed and enjoyed the lovely, quiet atmosphere.The waiting staff was stealthy, which I always appreciate.I didn't see it, but I heard that they have a room with traditional Japanese seating inlaid into the floor.
I just finished having dinner here and I think it was the best sushi I've ever had. It is à la carte and so much better than any "all you can eat" sushi restaurant. I had the Sushi and Sashimi Dinner ($24.95) which includes a salad, miso shiru soup, 9 piece sashimi, 6 piece sushi and an 8 piece spicy salmon roll - more than enough to satisfy any appetite. The sashimi was melt in your mouth delicious and each cut of fish was very fresh and thick cut (not too thick though). The staff and chefs were friendly and very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I've been coming here for years and it only gets better and better. It looks as though there has been a change of management and while I really enjoyed the previous owners and meals, it is still fantastic with the new ownership. Had the Sushi Deluxe dinner, came with a starter salad, a miso soup (which was to die for) and then the main course of 9 pieces of sushi and spicy salmon roll cut in 8. Washed it down with a Saporro and was stuffed. Absolutely fantastic. My go to place to eat period when in town!!

My wife and I had a super romantic dinner at the Hikari. The food was some of the best we have ever had anywhere. If you are looking for authentic Sushi / Sashimi this is the place to go. We were referred to this restaurant by a local person and it was a great referral. Absolutely we will go again. Our server Mai was terrific. This is one of my new favorite restaurants. Great for couples, families, and singles. Great for business meetings. Just good high quality food at reasonable prices.
Friends and I will attend and grab a quick lunch during the week. Fresh sushi combos at good lunch time deal prices. Lunch combos come with soup and salad and your choice of other options- rolls or bento boxes. I get the spicy rolls. It's very enjoyable! And great lunch time price for a nice lunch break before grading back to The office.
friends took us there and was I surprize, the service was excellent, and the food OMG so good and cant wait to go back lots of food, we even met the owners Richard and his wife very nice people so friendly so I had them cater some food for our wedding and it was Perfect love this place try it you will love it,,
Excellent choices, and so perfectly situated, it was a treat. Food was great, and you can watch the chef do his thing. Service was outstanding and prices are very reasonable

My friend and I were there on Saturday night. We ordered 4 rolls and gyoza. The food was delicious and very fresh. There sushi is always phenomenal!
