1st time attempting to get take away pizza from this place tonight. The experience was far from ideal. I was told 30 minutes. I stood up and asked what was happening with the 3 pizzas ordered, one of them a basic cheese one, when 50 minutes had passed and I hadn't heard a thing. By then, I realised my ordered hadn't even gone through yet. I ended up with the pizzas ready to go home almost 70 minutes from ordering. This is an absurd time for any dine-in or take away pizza place. My final conclusion is that the business couldn't cope with the amount of orders and were completely incapable to manage it. We got 2 pizzas. 1 x Australian and 1 x Trieste (chicken, baby spinach, feta, tomato and olives). The Australian pizza was more like a simple meat pizza with few meat toppings which isnt quite right. I didn't realise bbq sauce was used as its not listed in the menu ingredients (normally it's a traditional tomato pizza sauce, paste). There was some bacon/ham but I couldn't taste the egg. The toppings tasted a little dry, tough. The Trieste pizza was a bit nicer but still dry. There wasn't a lot of cheese. Both pizzas needed some sauce or something to marinade like a proper tomato base to help with the dryness Service was good, staff were nice shop is clean but pizza was very average.
Essential during lockdown. We prefer to order directly online rather than using Uber Eats because it's more cost-effective and has a great loyalty program that often benefits us. The ability to customize our toppings online is a big plus. Delivery is quick, and the food always arrives hot. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. Without a doubt, this is our go-to spot for Friday night pizza takeout. Thank you, Hillz Pizza!
Every meal we've ordered from this restaurant has been excellent. Their chicken dishes stand out and come in generous portions, with sauces like Mushroom and Diane that are truly restaurant-quality.
