Normally the work crew goes somewhere else for lunch but they ended up being closed today. We passed Hippo Burger and decided to try it. This is a diamond in the rough. Area is kinda shady so we weren't sure, but of course I checked the reviews and they were surprisingly high. Y'all, the burgers/chicken sandwiches are huge and delicious. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I ordered the spicy fried pickles and they are probably the best I've ever had. Staff is very friendly. I will definitely recommend to my other coworkers. We were all pleasantly surprised.

As a hungry @ss Mexican in Texas, I 've been to a lot of burger places. I gotta say this is *the* best burger place I 've ever been to. Great prices, food, and customer service. Beautifully toasted buns and a flavorful patty with each burger. One of the things that really set it apart from other burger shops is that they don 't hold you at gunpoint to get both a drink and fries because it HAS to be a meal , you can just buy them separately. This place will definitely be a regular date spot for my boyfriend and I.

I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and regular French fries. The burger was definitely fresh and made to order, and I loved the grilled bun. However, it could have used some salt and pepper on the patty—it might have improved the flavor. A sprinkle of garlic salt would have been nice too. The regular fries were good, but they also lacked seasoning. This was my third visit, and I still haven't had the experience I was hoping for. On the bright side, the service was excellent! We're a family of 3 came in after my coworker told me about this place. Omgggg it's amazing. Got the double bacon cheese burger meal, kids cheeseburger and a mushroom swiss. We tried them with reg fries and onion rings. Nooo complaints from anyone. Food came out within minutes. So happy we took her advice and tried this place. Guess will be regulars now and tell others about this hidden gem!!!Kid-friendliness: She's eaten almost all of it and it was a huge kids burger

If you like to.make a.mess whn you eat this is your spot. This is the biggest unhealthy establishment juiciest messiness mouth watering delicious food that you will.not find anywhere else try the garlic fries as well omg they are so good and worth a drive.

The online menu does not match the actual menu at the restaurant. Each item is priced separately, and the "Monster Hippo" isn’t listed on the menu, nor is its price indicated. To be honest, I could have gone to Five Guys and enjoyed much better food.
