It is an old farm with homemade apple wine. The beer garden is beautiful, you feel like sitting in a painting of Degas or Monet. There is a playground and some animals for the children. They offer delicious homemade cakes. Very fresh. The dishes are regional, but they also offer carvings and steaks. The restaurant is located next to the forest. Walk 30 min from Kelkheim Zentrum, 1 h from Lorsbach Zentrum, 1,5 h from Hofheim Zentrum.
Hof Gimbach buzzes with families, bike tour groups, joggers, children, riders and locals enjoying the food overlooking green flowing fields. A tranquil place to be. I just had a soup and tried the Kaiserschmarrn. Unfortunately the Kaiserschmarrn was just a hacked up pancake but it was filling and sweet. When here and you're with a group be sure to reserve a table!
Gimbacher Hof is a beautiful, cozy restaurant in beautiful surroundings. There are a number of great hiking trails that lead there when you arrive, you will be greeted with a rustic interior, a large garden with a playground, wonderful cakes good food. We were here last with a large group, the service was attentively accelerating. A great family day!
We had lunch there (10 people). Ideal place for lunch with children. Beautiful beer garden with playgrounds for children and ponies. Meals were good and reasonable prices. Very nice country side, ideal for hiking and friendly waiters. This is definitely a recommendation.
