Absolutely amazing , food was excellent , staff were all very friendly , great atmosphere . We had the three course lunch , at £19.95 . Food was excellent , beautifully presented . Starter : Stilton and broccoli soup , lovely . Main course , Steak and vegetable pie with vegetables. So tasty. Dessert , raspberry cheesecake , l have got to say , this was the best cheese cake and ice-cream ever. Shall definitely be going back. Thank you
Why I love local coffee shops Walked to the village, went to open the door and it was closed- opens twenty minutes later. Owner saw us, asked what we wanted and made us two coffees as he was ready for the day. I would never expect this and it probably wouldn’t happens every time- but that customer service and attitude you only get from local independents. Oh, and the coffee was great too!
We were a group of 13 and could have been unwealdly but we all wrote our menu selections on the form they'd prepared and everything went well. The food was really good, tasty. Some of the veg was a bit more crunchy than we would have done at home but that seems to be the trend nowadays. A good selection of choices on each course.
Celebrated my 50th Birthday with a large family group at Hoggs on Saturday night I’m sure glad I did. The table (for 13 of us) had been prepared beautifully in the garden room the food, ambients service were all really special. Thanks for a lovely evening, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience .
Needed somewhere for a coffee whilst I had a spare 30 mins. I was recommended Higgs Bistro and wasn’t disappointed. This is a great little place with lots of character and awesome staff. This was a place where the service was outstanding and the coffee and food superb . Quaint and cosy. Stop on in
A good place for a week end meal or a bit of lunch. the staff are friendly and discreet, the food although a little limited in choice is as good as you can get anywhere. its ideal for an intimate dinner or a family meal, the seating areas being very diverse. my advice book and try it
