Hoghton Arms Withnell

Went in for lunch Tuesday 14th June. Plenty of parking. We arrived at about 12.30 so wasn’t that busy. But it did seem to get quite a few other diners in quickly after that. We were allowed to choose our own table, plenty of options on where to sit. Once seated our drinks order was quickly taken and served. A pint of Estrella lager, £5.50, and a pint of Hobgoblin Gold, £4.15. We decided to go for the lunchtime menu. 2 course at £12.50 and the 3 course at £15.00. Bruschetta and Breaded garlic mushrooms to start. Ham, double egg and chips and Cajun Chicken for mains and one desert, Apple and Caramel Tart. Don’t be put off by the picture of the fried eggs. I go to the hoghton arms, about once all couple weeks where I meet with my niece and her man for a pub lunch, I have to say it's a nice pub and eating is a leak to eat and there are always good offers on, I would recommend the hoghton arms to everyone.

Called in for Sunday lunch and was not dissapointed. Roast dinner was great with lashings of gravy. Plenty of meat, in fact we have taken some home for tomorrow's lunch. Landlord and staff very friendly. We will call again.

absolutely good eating here today. all 5 of us have no complaints. the attentive personal food was excellent. such a good value for money. will be back soon
