Its taken a while. We always intended to visit when Mags operated in the centre of Preston. If you love fresh food cooked with love and served with a smile, this is a hidden gem. Forget your middle of the road generic restaurants and support a local independent business. We called in on the spur of the moment to grab some lunch to take away. Half an avocado roll, half a prawn tempura roll (thats about 10 large pieces of sushi in total) and a beef ramen to share. It was more than enough food. The added bonus was the huge smile on our faces when we had finished. Total price was £15 I would recommend ordering the day before. More if you want fresh fish in any of the dishes. I promise its worth...
After reading good reviews of this place I paid it a visit yesterday and what an absolute gem of a place. The food is superb and all freshly cooked. I had Pork Goyosos for starters which were very good, and a superbly fresh Pork Donbury for mains. Such a reasonable price for an excellent meal. Only small inside, 7 tables, but most of her trade is takeaways. Only 50p for a can of diet coke. Tastes like Wagamama used to when it first set up before it was taken over and became average and at a fraction of the price. Pay a visit you will be glad you did.
I tend not to leave reviews on here but this place is special, legitimately the best food I've eaten in a restaurant in Chorley and as good as pretty much anywhere I've been in Manchester etc. Don't eat food made by people who don't care about what they're making food is an art and Mag cares. Meal was £29 for 2 of us including 2 half sushi rolls, two large and filling soups, and 3 drinks and was worth every penny! Casual dining, clean, neat, and as charming as it gets! Thank you
Keep passing and meaning to go out n, we did today and weren't disappointed. Very small, but we expected it. Mag is lovely and food is delicious.perfect Prawn tempura, and very tasty pork guoyza. I had chicken katsu which was simply divine, ny partner had a chicken rice dish which I forget it's name, but was also very nice. The food is delicious and authentic, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The only issue I can see with this place is that it's so quiet there's not enough people here to enjoy the experience of dining here! I can imagine that this may be due to the pandemic, but if you're out and about feeling peckish this place is definitely a must!
What I great place for Japanese food everything freshly made by Mags she recommended starters and we weren't disappointed the mains were absolutely delicious. Wish I had taken some photos but completely forgot I was enjoying my food so much you must try a turmeric latte unbelievable. I cant wait to go again ..
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the charming cafe on Pall Mall in Chorley. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Mags, the host, was perfect and even provided recommendations for my first visit. I will definitely be returning again in the future.
Mag is extremely attentive and willing to address any questions about the menu. She is happy to accommodate specific dietary preferences when possible. Very sorry that Mag has retired. But not to despair. It's replacement in the shape of Nishi Sushi is at leasst as good. Nishi Sushi is more too than just a great place for sushi. A wide range of delicious starters and mains options besides sushi. Veggies well-catered for.
