I visited Hook Real for my son’s 17th birthday, and it was a great experience. Our server, Keyera, was fantastic—friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. All the servers were pleasant, including one gentleman with an earring who smiled at me as we were leaving, which I truly needed. Although we were celebrating my son's birthday, it was a bittersweet occasion as my husband, the father of my children, had passed away the night before. First of all we had the best server Ivan!! This is NO CAP!! He had my daughters food out in no time, that is why her food is gone in the photo. I ordered a lobster bisque soup it was hot and amazing. It came in a beautiful bowl. He told us about the happy hour without us even asking. The drinks were strong and were amazing, it was margaritas btw. Make sure to get the passion fruit one. My son ordered a seafood boil and I got a po boy, and they were both equally amazing even though my son wouldn't share. My favorite was the lobster bisque soup. I was seated right away when I walked in, so the wait was minimal. The staff was very welcoming, especially Shelby, the Assistant Manager, and my server, Nakya. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my appetizer and entree arrived. The new dish, Cajun Seafood Fried Rice, was quite creative, although I expected a stronger taste of soy sauce and more Cajun seasoning. Fortunately, I had chosen the perfect outfit to accommodate the generous portion size. The atmosphere was lovely, and I look forward to trying the seafood boil next time. I also ordered a meal to go for a family member, a chicken sandwich that I had seen online, but instead, I received a bun filled with sauce, lettuce, and one chicken tender on the side. I was thoroughly disappointed and won’t be returning to order from this restaurant again.
Everyone in my family was dissatisfied with their food and service, and we all ended up with upset stomachs and an urge to vomit. The way our bill was handled was also unwarranted. If I could give a zero-star review, I would, but instead, I’ll give them one star for the scenery. Never again!

This is my first time going to Hook Reel. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, It's very well decorated. The food is pretty good. I really liked the sauces that you could put in steam bags. I also like the fact that you can customize whatever you want to get in the bag. We went during a slow time so the bartender was also our waiter, he was Fabulous. I also like that they seated My dad and I at least 6 ft from the other family that was there.
I was there last night with my family. Everyone enjoyed their food. My husband said that?s the best crab cakes he ever had. The kids meal is a nice portion and my daughter finished it all! We also have seafood boil with house special sauce. The snow crab legs were huge and fresh and so delicious. The Hook Punch is awesome. The atmosphere is greenery and beautiful. Overall 10 out of 10.. definitely worth the price and will be back soon.
This is my first time visiting Maryland, and my friend took me to Hook and Reel in Owings Mills for lunch. I instantly loved the atmosphere. The crab bites were outstanding! I highly recommend the Hook and Reel margarita for anyone who enjoys cocktails. I can't wait to return with my family during summer vacation.
I ate seafood combo here adding snow crabs and shrimps(head-off) with garlic butter sauces. It tastes so awesome! By the way, the cheese cake there the best ever! The atmosphere and waitress are nice as well. I will definitely back again and celebrate my birthday with friends here!

Ivan was amazing and very charismatic and full of enthusiasm. definitely should have more people like him in this world. the food was fresh and seasoned so well. the happy hour menu is lit as well. We had the margaritas which are $5 without flavor $6 with flavor.
