Hook Reel Cajun Seafood

Filthy!!!!! I had ordered take-out from this location several times, my husband and I decided to eat-in and I was disgusted!!!! Filthy. the hostess sat us at a table and immediately the filth, the entire table was dirty with clean cutlery placded on the table, the menus, signage on tables was full of seasoning oil just gross. It wasnt just from the previous customer it was imbedded filth. The staff came over apologized and proceeded to clean nd wipe everything around us with a sour rag. I immediately got up to leave. I felt so sick never again!!!! I could only imagine whats going on in the kitchen!

We went for a friends birthday today at 5pm . Food wasn’t anything impressive , especially for the price. Service was awful. The man clearly didn’t want to deal with us at all. He would ask if we needed anything and keep walking without missing a beat. Never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything. Seemed annoyed if we stopped him to ask for a refill of our drinks. I can only assume because they add tip onto the check that he figured he wouldn’t have to actually do what was expected because he was getting a decent tip either way. Never again

I don't often write reviews, but this establishment warrants it thanks to a great job from server Eric Mabu. He was upbeat without being intrusively so, brought us extra sauces to try with our seafood boil, and noticed when we were running out of water (while eating spicy food) even before we did! Frankly it was even better service than a high-end NYC restaurant, in the ways that matter. Place is a bit tricky to find off of Rte 22, but it's spacious and nice once you enter.

It’s off da hook!! The waiter was funny too! He kept telling us jokes. What does the frog say when he parked illegally? I’ve been toad!

First time going to the location in Union NJ and was very pleased with the service and atmosphere.
