I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sum Ramen in Millburn, NJ, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience! From the moment I stepped inside, the excellent service and attention to detail were apparent.First and foremost, I was delighted to find an extensive selection of vegetarian options on their menu. I most like their unique take on mapo tofu, along with a nice variety of Asian dishes in a small but decorated dining area.Lately I’ve found my body is very particular about ramen and so I often don’t order it unless there is something I specifically want to try. In this case my wife wanted to try their spicy ramen which was perfect for me because I could sample it while still ordering something else.What caught my eye while searching google was one dish in their Stone Bowl section: they have a mapo tofu dish!! We visited this restaurant specifically for the Pork Don, and it was incredibly delicious compared to the Miso Ramen! The Don was served in a stone pot, resulting in crispy rice on the bottom. The sauce was the standout element, perfectly complementing the vegetables and juicy pork. It was truly masterfully prepared. If you enjoy Korean-style bibimbap, you will definitely love the Don!

Conveniently located in the heart of Millburn downtown. Good, simple and straightforward service. Food wise, the beef ramen was good, broth was flavorful but not overly oily as the traditional pork ramen. Appetizers, we had pork gyoza, sheshito pepper, salad and chicken, all were quite good. Only let down was the mapo tofu don, quite oily.

I tried a ramen restaurant in Westfield first, but we were disappointed and decided to get it to go (regretting not canceling the order). We then found this place and we were so happy we did! Everything was amazing - the service, the food. Can't wait to go back!

I ordered the daily special, Oxtail Ramen. It was prepared quickly, and the service was excellent. The staff attended to all of my needs. The food was delicious and served hot, just the way I like it.

I always order takeout and the food is always awesome! The ramen broth is so good. The pumpkin croquettes ate a must try! I recommend the mozarella-stuffed croquettes.
