horse hound is a wonderful and rustic bed and breakfast in franconia. the white mountains are incredibly spread out and we fought to find out in which to stay against. this place was perfect for everything we wanted to do! the inn is quite small, probably about 9 or 10 rooms. the hotel was quite empty during our stay, so we had a room with a view of the races, that was great. I can't say enough about this. it is nested in the hills and is only so quiet. there is a small stream near and if we hadn't had so much to explore, I would have spent hours lying on the hammock on the back. the inner is equally impressive, it has a very preppy feeling and I felt like I was in a polo ad. there are many cozy sittings, kamine and regale filled with books and play. the actual guest room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. it is an older hotel, but they can say there were updates. the ac works well and the shower has a good print. because of the kovid there is no daily room cleaning. there is also usually a bar and restaurant before place, but it is not opened because of kovid. but there is still a daily breakfast for guests in the stay. the breakfast is offered every day of 8 9 and comes with ice cream, fruit salad, an English muffin and a meat plus coffee and juice. always tasty and fill out! the personal is also friendly. we had the same server to breakfast every morning and she was very sweet. we also saw the wet doug around regularly and he was always super friendly and helpful. the rate is reasonable and the situation is great. about a ten minute drive from franconia notch echo see kanone mt and about half an hour from mt washington. in littleton or twenty minutes south in lincoln you will find every amount of food and brewery ten minutes north. we stay here without hesitation and I really think it would be a nicer and more pleasant visit in all seasons.
