Hostellerie Du Perigord Vert

We were staying at the hotel and chose to eat here because of recommendations. Dinner is only served for an hour so it is best to book. The friendly and attentive staff speak excellent English. Food was freshly cooked and excellent. I had smoked salmon, they cure it here. This was soft and creamy and delicious. I then had cod, on a tomato sauce with mushrooms, ratatouille and rice. This was tasty. Pudding was nougatine icecream and floating island. We also had a house cocktail and a local rose wine.

The restaurant external dining seats are in the Logis hotel yard and garden. My wife and me were guests of the 2 stars Logis hotel. It is simple and basic hotel. But the restaurant is a different story. The food quality was very good and tasty. We could see the chef while prepared the food and my wife regarded him as a magician in kitchen. No need to be hotel guest and there were outside eaters as well. Recommended.

We sat outside on the Terrace. I went for the 34 € Set Sunday lunch which was 5 courses including coffee and apéritif. The other 3 in our party went à la carte. The scallops were superb and fresh. Check opening times and book.

Very nice evening meal seated outside. Nice relaxed atmosphere and welcoming owners. Food and service excellent. The scallop starter was the highlight for me. Would definitely recommend.

I had lovely service and they even made me a plate of vegetables. The food is fresh and the setting is charming.
