Hot Spot is the premier destination for Jamaican cuisine in Albany, NY. As a loyal customer for eight years, I've always been thoroughly impressed. Their steamed escovitch fish is absolutely delicious, and their jerk chicken, ackee and saltfish, and curried goat are equally remarkable. I have to commend Hot Spot for fostering a welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent customer service. It's always a joy to bring friends, family, and colleagues to what I consider Albany's best Jamaican restaurant. Cheers to the owner/CEO and their fantastic team!

If you’re ever in the Capital District and craving delicious Jamaican food, be sure to check out Hotspot. Their menu offers a wide variety of tasty dishes, and they even have daily specials crafted by the chef. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the fact that the food feels like home-cooked meals. You'll find unique items here, like rasta pasta and jerk chicken fried rice, which are hard to find at other places. What I love most about this restaurant is that everything is made fresh daily, and they cater to your every need.

I ordered two servings of Rasta pasta, and unfortunately, both had what looked like cat hair in them. I inspected both plates and ended up throwing them away. I spent nearly $50, which feels like a waste. Even if it was chicken hair, it should have been cleaned off more thoroughly; there was just way too much, and it was quite off-putting. I definitely won't be dining here again.

I paid 20$ for the small jerk chicken and a drink. Took forever to come out. I asked the young lady what was fresh she said everything was fresh and ready except fish. I received my food went back to work and it was old food and I mean old food. They had put sauce on the chicken and just pretended it was fresh. I was shocked. I couldn’t eat one bite. Never will I ever return. Reserva una mesa ahora

I absolutely love their food; they serve some of the best Caribbean cuisine in Albany. I could enjoy their jerk chicken every single day. The only downside is that it can be a bit spicy, but paired with the plantains and a Jamaican soda to balance it out, it's a fantastic experience. You can't go wrong!

Yeah Mon! LOL The restaurant seems hidden in space but trust me Rasta; All The food is delicious and that Curry Chicken goes down hot big Up vincent Mon!. My only suggestion is Vincent; you have to find a way to bring food out quickly; you CANNOT have Customers waiting for 30 minutes.

Customer service skills sucks. I was on the phone for about 15 minutes putting in a simple order. Arrived, paid for my food and than was told I had to pay more money. The lady handed me my bag to put my own stuff in it. The food was alright but the customer service wasn't.....

This restaurant is fantastic. Although the wait can be longer than expected, it's definitely worth it. Be sure to check out the dishes featured in the New York Post; they're superb. Overall, it's a great spot to dine! Reserva una mesa ahora
