There was not a lot of English spoken and my French is minimal, but we got along fine. Our room at Hotel du Trinquet was one of the nicest during our stay in France and Spain. The bath had an “American” shower, which we have...seldom found in Europe. The furnishings were lovely, and the wifi worked great. Parking on the street during the day is limited to an hour or so. We arrived in late afternoon and were given a paper clock that allowed us to remain in our spot until The cafe serves sandwiches but not meals, so we had dinner elsewhere. Our breakfast at the cafe, which was coffee of our choice, juice, yogurt, bread, and jelly, was delicious. Cambo-les-Bains is a cute, relatively small town in the French Basque area. We were lucky to be there on a night when an a capella concert of Basque songs was being performed by Choeur Arraga in the local church. It was excellent. If you get the chance to hear them, take it

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the town, with a nice terrace . It’s an old traditional basque house, entirely renovated inside (the hotel part). Everything is brand new in the rooms and bathrooms, and immaculately clean! There even is an elevator,...and lights working on a motion sensor in the hallway. But the best part is the landlady, who took such a good care of us and was attentive to each of our needs, and truly went the extra mile to make our stay very pleasant

Everything about this small family-run hotel was great, with a beautiful room and newly fitted out bathroom all very clean and well equipped. There is a kettle with tea and coffee and a large flat screen TV. Excellent breakfast served in the room or in...the cafeteria. Easy parking in the street outside
