We stopped here for lunch - the tables outside were full so we were seated upstairs which has a large window overlooking the harbour. Although there were two staff on duty we were neither greeted nor shown to a table. We chose a table and eventually a young man bought over the menu. He returned and took our order for drinks but there was little or no interaction. He returned with the drinks and took our order for food. When this arrived - a plate of seafood and a plate of oysters - it was served with no interest at all. The seafood was acceptable but the oysters poorly prepared which was really disappointing and served in a blue plastic bowl which had a large chip out of the rim.. I also noticed that despite ordering 9 I only received 6! We finished our meal and were not surprised to find that when the bill arrived we had indeed been charged for 9! This was pointed out and whilst the bill was changed no apology at all was offered. The whole experience was disappointing and upsetting as this was one of the last meals of our wonderful holiday. We certainly will not be hurrying back.
We arrived around 12.30 on a rainy August day and the restaurant was already busy but we were shown to a good table at the side near a window and our orders were taken promptly. Drinks arrived quickly but quite a wait for our food - apologies given by our waiter - they were very busy as was evident. When food arrived it was well cooked and plentiful - we did have to ask for bread which was quick!y served. Good desserts followed. We were very satisfied with our meal and enjoyed it - would return.
