Hotel Royal Vezere

I’ve been coming to Le Bugue for years and one place had never eaten in was the dining room at the Royal Vévère. For one thing my wife said if I wanted to eat there I could do so by myself. But after four weeks of eating repeatedly at other Le Bugue eateries, she weakened. The decor of the dining room reminds me of banquet room in a hotel in Reno circa 1975. Too bright and too sterile. A barn. I had always heard that English tour bus companies used the hotel for overnight stops. When we walked in the dining room the only other dinners were an English tour group. We ate here one night after being let down at another restaurant. Staff were very professional and courteous. The food was excellent .The setting was superb overlooking the river. The meals were excellent. Why we have never eaten here before I don't know. It will be used a couple of times on our next visit definitely.

We ate supper here it was rather an effort to get noticed amongst the coach party of German tourists, however, eventually the staff were very friendly and helpful. Main course really good. The very best thing was to be able to eat on the balcony over the river at sunset rather special.

This hotel is the largest in the area and caters for group s and individuals. The food is if a good consistent standard. Waiters are efficient and helpful

Freindly service, very poor food. Microwave beans and cold pork not what we were expecting, absolutely disgusted avoid until better review turns up
