The traditional Austrian cuisine is pretty good, but it was served with such a large plate that we could not finish the roast pork.This restaurant is affiliated with the hotel of the same name, and is open from 11:00-22:00, which is good for us, since we had our dinner at 17:00 when most of the restaurants only open for dinner at 18:30 or after.The problem we had when sitting by the outside table was, some guests sitting at the neighboring tables were smoking. We also had a problem with the credit card machine, luckily we still had some cash.
as part of annual trip back to salzburg this is a must in terms of food. always good, plenty to choose from and you won't starve.Unlike usual staff was very unfriendly but that might be due to them being super busy... although that should not male a difference!Soups are amazing, beef carpaccio was very average, so were cheese spaetzle.Goulash was average also.Not what i am used to from them but then again - first bad experience there.If you visit Salzburg and you want classic Austrian food - this is a good spot.
Great service and warm interaction with owners and employees. Ernst and his sister, owner, really know and take care of the extra mile. Always ready to help with all kinds of inquiries. The breakfast buffet and the menu are excellent and inexpensive. Anyway, we don't have to spend an early meal in town. Conveniently located in a quiet and near downtown Salzburg. Come back. By the way, free parking. Compared to 15 to 20 euros per night in other hotels.
Booked this place on line at what seemed a great price of course I expected a cheap service! But, Oh No this place is great value. Get the Number 5 bus from the bus station and its 15 minutes away. Quiet and rooms are fantastic and very modern - shower is the best I have used in years. Food is plentiful and reasonable prices to. Go take the bus and experience Salzburg.

Cosy hotel outstanding restaurant apparently one of the best in Salzburg across the street from a very beautiful cemetary interesting history! Very helpful staff great location would definitely book again! Breakfast was incredible!
