Housatonic River Brewing, or as it is better know, HRB , provides something that the New Milford area did not have for a very long time a fun, exciting place to meet and sample great beers. The brewer Steve has been making delicious beer for several years now, and as time goes on, the beers just seem to get better and better. In addition, Dave the owner has transformed the beer garden in the premier live music spot in town. Reviewer Alex S’s experience below doesn’t match mine. Their beers are really superb. I’m not an IPA guy but Gentle on my mind is one I’ll make an exception for. And their coffee porter is really outstanding. Staff are fine haven’t had an issue. I pop in regularly.The venue is really nice in summer haven’t been in winter yet and a good rotation of food trucks.Don’t forget to put your phone number in for the rewards nice to get a keepsake brewery glass.

Great little spot on the river. It’s really nice inside with a big fireplace and stage for live music. They have a really nice outdoor space as well with nice size tables and a covered awning.The beer is really good with the Double IPA leading the charge. they rotate food trucks which is a really nice touch.

Great beers. Nice variety from light and crisp to dark and malty. Customer service was outstanding. Wish they allowed dogs but at least they ban kids.

Came for the 5k trail race. Stayed to watch the beer mile and drink more beer. Great staff, good music and atmosphere and of course, quality beer.
