We had just gotten off the plane in Newark, and my brother in law wanted to get dinner. Kilim was highly rated on Google, so we went there. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to order. My brother in law loves Mediterranean food, but it's not common for our family to eat it. I had the meatballs, and my wife had the salmon. Everything was delicious. We got some hummus to dip our bread in, and it was amazing. The lady who owns the place was very friendly, and asked where we were from. It's not likely that I'll get back to that area again, but if I do, I'll definitely come back for dinner again.
Hands down the best Mediterranean place I have ever been to. While I usually get the falafel (which is always fantastic), I decided to try the Chicken Kebab this time—and wow, it did not disappoint! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and so tender and juicy. The hummus is also the best hummus I have ever had in my life! The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommend!!! We got the fixed menu but this place was amazing. The food was on point and the service was top notch. The owner came out and introduced their self to us. Would highly recommend! Had a wonderful dinner here! We had a kilim salad, zucchini pancakes, pastrami rolls and branzino. Everything was delicious. My only comment is that I asked for the salad without Walnuts and it came covered in them.
