Last night, we decided to grab a bite to eat at this restaurant before a show at the Entertainment Centre. We paid $35 for a small portion of chips, a chicken schnitzel burger, a ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich, and two very strong but surprisingly bland iced coffees. The price was reasonable, but the quality of the food did not match up. Our biggest issue was with the iced coffee - the $1 add-on for ice cream and lack of cream (which was unavailable) left us disappointed and ultimately we ended up throwing it away. The food was decent, especially the chips which were hot and crispy. Overall, I wouldn't hurry back to this place, as there are much better dining options in the area.
Hindmarsh on a Saturday morning is not very lively so we were pleased to find this little cafe near to the tram terminus. It has a couple of outdoor share tables with some shade and a small counter where you select your food. For a small place, it has a big menu with a good selection of light lunch and snack fare from focaccia, pies, salads, sandwiches, wraps plus hot and cold drinks. I appreciated the fresh, whole fruit that is often not available at cafes. It was fun to sit outside and watch the tram patrons running to catch the tram before it left and generally watch the world go by. So, if you need a good coffee or a quick bite to eat, this little gem is worth a visit.
