First time visitor. I've heard good things about Hudson's. So, I was happy to give it a try. I brought my husband, and we were both pleased. We are inside. There was a good view from most seats in the front room. Started with a drink. I had the blood orange margarita, and my husband had The HH islander I think.it was a frozen drink with strawberry. Yummy. I have never had a low country boil. So, I tried that. It was very good. My husband had the fried flounder sandwich. It was big and tasty. So, food, service, drinks, and atmosphere were are perfect.
Hudson's is one of my favorite places to come and eat on Hilton Head. I came here in 2017 on the recommendation of several locals. Outdoor or indoor seating. Fresh local fish and shrimps. Great place for oysters. We enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller, a salad wedge salad, seafood gums, their crab soup and a darkened catch of the day fish sandwich; all good. The outer seats are super on a deck/dock. There are umbrellas for the tables and very nice covered bar. I recommend coming here. FYI has river parking in front of you every restaurant.
First time to Hudson and I will surely return! Freshest seafood ever!... I was all over the world this is FRESH! We tried everything; raw fried oysters, cooked shrimps, crab cakes, red snaps, groupers and flounder! Oh, the hush puppies were quite special-much smaller, so the outer crunchy factor ratio to the tender center was spot on! Thank you. Jeff (our waiter) William (the manager) They were knowledgeable friendly who made my first time to Hudson FANTASTIC! The lime cake was also excellent!
Excellent customer service. Perfectly cooked black fish in our tacos. Wrapped both bacon and roasted oysters both delicate and tasty. My fiancée likes to design a foodman... said the devil's bull was the best crab dish he ever had. Beautiful view on the water from the outdoor dining area.
