When we first arrived on the Big Island we were recommended to Huggo's. It was conveniently located next to our hotel. We were quickly seated when we arrived on a Wednesday night. They had a fantastic drink menu and I had to break my tradition to have one of their drinks of the day. It was very yummy! Our service was incredible and the food was also amazing. We sat down right at sunset and could be a very romantic dinner spot and a great place to have a wonderful meal with friends. Our hostess warmly welcomed us, and the bartenders were equally friendly, crafting a Mai Tai that was simply unbeatable. We were lucky enough to sit at a table right by the water, and our server, Seth, was not only helpful and kind but also excelled in his role.
We enjoyed delightful cocktails, a refreshing tomato salad, and two fish dishes from the menu. Both were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My dish came with asparagus and broccolini, which were cooked just right and still had a satisfying crunch. For dessert, we indulged in passion fruit sorbet and took home a coconut cake to share.

Service was friendly, but inattentive. We needed napkins and refills and other things and it was hard to get attention from the servers. We were also sat in the back corner and it felt super dirty and grungy back there definitely not the best seat in the house. Those things are affecting my review. But other than that, the live music was great and they provided a fun little free hula lesson for all the kids, which was really cute. The food was good, but not really worth bragging about. Still, I would go back for the view and the live music!
Our daughter, who was visiting from Seattle, treated us to an amazing dinner at Huggo’s. The service was outstanding—our waitress was likely one of the best I've ever encountered. The sunset view was absolutely stunning. We chose this restaurant based on recommendations from several local friends about the seafood, and it certainly lived up to the hype. Every dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. It was truly a special evening! Thank you!

Everything was excellent here. We arrived and were seated immediately at an incredible waterfront table. Our server (I believe his name was Seth) was attentive, and helpful in making recommendations. Everything was excellent, great drinks, fritto misto appetizer was super tasty, island catch of the day was good, the short rib that came with the short rib and shrimp was outstanding. The cost was expensive, but worth a splurge on our last full day on island.

I was here twice when I left. The sunset was a beautiful setting for our dinner! The waiter and bartender were super friendly. The Sashimi and Poke Tower with sweet potato chips were lovely. The sounds of the waves that arrived on the coast were also a perfect ambience! You also have a pretty good wine list.
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. We were sat immediately right on the ocean and our service by Jeff was outstanding. There was amazing live music going on during dinner. The food and drinks were so good, we went back the next day again for Happy Hour and were served by Jeff again. Must visit!

Beautiful oceanside seating, great happy hour deal, standard Hawaii fare (fish tacos, burgers, etc), friendly staff. The best part is the evening live music the acts they find to play music are super talented and make for a beautiful backdrop to the meal.
