I enjoy Hug-Hes Cafe, especially their delicious bonus cookies and bread! The food has a homemade taste that I appreciate. However, during my recent online order, I requested the gravy on the side, yet it arrived smothered all over the meal. When I went to pick it up, they mentioned there would be an extra charge of $2.50 for additional gravy, which I clarified I didn't want—just a side portion. Unfortunately, they didn't respond, even after I left a tip. Once I got home, my food was soggy, which was disappointing. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered an issue; my last online order from Hug-Hes was also incorrect. I understand that these are tough times for businesses, but my takeaway...
I highly recommend Hug-Hes Cafe! I visited today for the first time with some coworkers, and everyone had positive things to say about the food. I had the Mexican Club Wrap with Buffalo Fries, and I would order it again in an instant! The meal was served with a pickle and a fry sauce. We also tried the artichoke dip as an appetizer, which was delicious, though I forgot to take a photo. On our way out, we all grabbed cookies; I picked a sugar cookie with pink frosting for my kids, and I’m sure they’ll love it. Our waitress was fantastic, though I didn’t catch her name! She always kept my water filled. She really took good care of us, and I can’t wait to return for more delicious food!
This place is amazing! Darling atmosphere, fancy but comfortable. The food was AMAZING! The Philly CheeseSteak sandwich was the best I've ever had. Tons of peppers, and mushrooms, and we got it with white America cheese and it was gooey delicious. And of course the beer bread there is so famously delicious and rightfully so. Customer service was top notch- friendliest staff, and my fries weren't hot when they came out. I asked if they would warm them up and they just brought me out a huge order of the hottest, freshest sweet potatoes fries I've ever had. Bragged about this place to my sis. I was really excited to take her there. I hadn?t been to this location, but love Syracuse location. Staff was okay. It?s decorated cute inside. Rough time getting a drink because they were out of a lot of the alcohol drink options. Pasta salad is always a hit. The raspberry dressing is really good! My sis got a salad. She liked it. The bread raspberry spread is my favorite thing about this restaurant!!

The burger was pretty basic. Ambiance was what we were looking for. The baby enjoyed all the people. The baby had a harsh review of the potatoes though, but that's just the baby, I thought they were good. No consistency on drink menu, just order and you get something with alcohol. They started with dessert which was interesting.
This restaurant has been one of our favorites in the area. They offer a diverse menu, the staff is friendly, and the food is generally good. However, I tried the prime rib and wouldn't recommend it. The French dip, on the other hand, is fantastic, and the pasta dishes have consistently been great.
The environment was nice with cool light fixtures and live plants. Service was excellent and the food was good, too. The bread with the strawberry custard butter was deliscious. I had the crispy chicken and avocado salad. The crispy chicken was cooked perfectly.
Walked in 30min before closing. They were courteous and did not rush us. Great staff!
