We tried to make 3 Mexican restaurants for reservations and Huma was the only restaurant to answer her phone on such a busy night, a sign of great service. We arrived and were within 10 minutes. I would suggest that customers check out the menu on the website before they go because there are SO Many choices!Went on a Tuesday at 1:pm and it was still very bust. Waiter was very accommodating and offered lots of suggestions and explanations. We ordered the "Cemitas Lucha Libre" and decided to split it as the waiter said it was very big. I was somewhat disappointed as half was not enough. The waiter told us that one has to reserve at least a week in advance! All in all a lovely meal but not enough to split. Eating was good, serving decent. Margarita was excellent. However, we went to pay with a gift card connected to the reception. Apparently the gift card didn't work and they wouldn't accept it if they had the gift voucher. They also said that their manager wasn't there, although it was a Friday at 1830. They said that if we came back, they might accept it, depending on whether their manager was there or not. Very sceptical. We are unimpressed with the service.
Probably the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Edmonton! Everything is made from scratch with the best ingredients available. From the minute you walk in the door, you truly feel like you’re walking into a restaurant in Mexico. The refried beans were better here than I’ve...experienced in several Mexican towns/cities. A must visit for Mexican cuisine!

Very unassuming from the outside.......a small strip mall on the corner of 99st and argyle.......Inside......clean, bright,colourful.......and.....nicely Mexican!!!Good menu, good food and good service.I thought it seemed a little pricey, but I would go back. Very accommodating on allergy diviation and knowledgeable about the menu details.
The Huma appears to be very busy during the lunch hour rush. The wait was worth it. The Chicken Enchilada was very well prepared. The complementary sauces were pretty good. It is advisable to have a reservation during the normal rush hour. Or go after 1:30 PM to avoid the log jam.
Food is all fresh and tasted like authentic Mexican food. Lots of variety and staff were very friendly. Our waiter even brought a sample of the sauce for my mom to try before she ordered. Portions were generous. Definitely going back!
I had an amazing dining experience! The Tostada De Tinga was incredibly flavorful, and the Shrimp Empanada was served warm and delicious. I was also very pleased with the Chicharrones!
