As others have said in there reviews the broth is extreamly bland. I ordered their sate soup, which I thought would have lots of flavour and spice. It was the most bland tasting pho I 've had. On top of the bland sub par soup, you are paying far too much for cheap ingredients and small portions. If this was the best pho in Nanaimo you guys need to have some real pho on the mainland. All white people working at the place as well, so I suspect it was taken over by new management and thats why they don 't know how to make the pho broth anymore as from what I understand the place used to be good ....
The food was absolutely fantastic! The dishes were delicious, very flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. It was a bit pricey, but that's common these days. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The servers were somewhat rude; we weren't even asked if we wanted water. I had to get up and request it while they chatted among themselves behind the bar. They didn’t offer any refills or check in on us at all—just dropped off our food and walked away. If it had been particularly busy, I might have understood, but the restaurant was actually quite slow during our visit.
Today my 12-year-old son took his father out for supper. He and I have been coming and enjoying the food here for a very long time. It is always been a tradition that's he and I would go out for dinner the day before I leave to go away to Camp to work. Noah that's my boy's name proudly had $105 in his wallet. He's very smart with money when he decides to be LOL. He had just come off a first game playoff with his team the Orioles to advance to another playoff game tomorrow. I love him and so much I am very blessed that this time I didn't have to say goodbye. Thank you my son
The menu was quite confusing. I wanted the $20 pork vermicelli but asked if I could substitute beef instead of pork. The server said that was fine and suggested I order the beef dish with spring rolls on the side. However, I only wanted the pork dish with beef instead. When it was time to pay the bill, I was shocked to find that my $20 order had turned into a $35 dish without any explanation. I ordered tofu salad rolls and veggie chow mein. The salad rolls were quite bland and had an excessive amount of noodles. The chow mein tasted like a very basic stir-fry, lacking egg and shredded vegetables—it was definitely not traditional and was not what I expected at all. Overall, I was disappointed.
Best Vietnamese on the Island Never disappoints. The food is always fresh and yummy and the staff is so amazing. They work together as a team. No one walks by your table without asking if they can help you. Crave their food. Must eat here once a week!! Reserva una mesa ahora
