I was really excited to discover a new ice cream shop in Alabaster, so a friend and I decided to take our kids there the other day to check it out. The interior of the restaurant is charming and colorful, and it’s bigger than I had anticipated. They do offer sandwiches, but since we had already eaten, we focused solely on ice cream. My daughter chose a kids' scoop of birthday cake ice cream, which was quite tasty. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my banana split. This was our second trip to this charming ice cream shop! My kids are huge fans of the red velvet waffle cones and the chocolate brownie ice cream. My husband and I both love their sundaes too! The highlight of this visit was when my daughter lost a tooth while munching on her cone. The lovely woman working there called her over and surprised her with the biggest Rice Krispy treat EVER as an early tooth fairy gift! She really didn’t have to go out of her way like that, but she did, and it made our little girl so happy! We highly recommend Ice and Spice!

I chose this restaurant based on the reviews I had read, but my experience was disappointing. The air conditioning seemed to be out, making it quite uncomfortable. Additionally, there was a strong chemical smell in the place. The biggest problem, however, was that the ice cream had freezer burn. It didn't taste good and didn't sit well in my stomach. I ended up having to throw away two cones, each costing over $5, because they were so bad.
