The current rating for Ichiban reflects the love and dedication of its previous owners, who have likely retired by now. Once upon a time, especially during its opening five years ago, Ichiban was a fantastic local spot for sushi. While the new owners seem friendly, the quality of the food and preparation has sadly diminished. The sushi burritos are still on the menu, but they lack the texture, garnish, and flavor that once made them special. My experience with the spider roll and the soft shell crab salmon sushi burrito left much to be desired, resembling a mix of poorly prepared fish. My daughter and I went on vacation in this area. It's not too far from the beach. We were looking for sushi places and found this on Yelp. They have a great selection of sushi. It's all super fresh and tasty. It's a small place so their seating islimited, but we never had a problem finding a seat. We came here three times while on vacation because we loved it so much.People usually order out. One time we order by phone and we just ate there.
The sushi here is quite good, but I had an issue with my takeout order. I requested two rolls, and they got one of them wrong. Instead of the spicy salmon roll I ordered, I received a regular salmon roll, which is frustrating, especially since it wasn’t busy at the time. However, the other roll was really good. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.
First visit to Ichiban! We got the Pink Lady, Spicy Tuna rolls and the Black Pepper Seared Tuna over Spicy Tuna. All were delicious and we will definitely order them again. Everything was fresh and prepared to order. Can’t wait to try more of their selections next week.

This is NOT BAY AVE SUSHI. I don?t know why he?s telling people this. Cheap imitation of good sushi. Feel badly for the original owners. Despite the business trying to say otherwise, it isn?t the owner. The original owner is actively trying to reopencurrently.

I'm not sure what others are saying. Yes, there are new owners and the prices have gone up a bit, but the sushi here is far superior to Sushi Town and the previous offerings at Ichiban. The tuna and salmon were incredibly fresh.
