Il Forno - Reservar una mesa

Now that after almost 6 months have elapsed in quarantine here in Medellin, with malls and stores closed, I found myself in the San Diego mall pricing out some bedding (sheets, pillow cases and bedspreads) so after a few hours headed over to the food court to see which restaurants were open. So glad to see that a few restaurants have just reopened and II FORNO was one of them. I actually recall eating here a few times back about 8 years ago so gave it a try. This is my second time to eat at this popular chain restaurant called Il Forno. This time we ate at their restaurant located in Centro Comercial Mega Plaza Mayorca in Sabaneta, near Envigado. It’s another nice area of Medellin not touristy. You get a better feel for the local life of Medellin in Sabaneta. Anyhow, the first time I ate at this restaurant I thought it was good enough to return to. But it was average… this time I felt the same way. We shared a thin crusted pepperoni pizza it was nothing special. But it hit the spot. Hice un pedido a Il Forno a través del servicio de entrega a domicilio de Rappi, un pedido de ravioles. Me tomó 1 hora y 50 minutos conseguir mi comida. Pésimo, pésimo servicio. Cuando hice el pedido me dijeron que tendría que esperar 45 minutos. La comida no es mala, pero si van a ser tan deshonestos sobre el tiempo que lleva preparar mi pedido, no estoy seguro de volver a pedirles.

It is more a family restaurant. We had pasta with pesto, very simple plate. The wine is very expensive

Pesimo el domicilio llego mas de 2hrs despues. Don’t get delivery it takes way too much! RIDICULOUS
