However, I visited Il Mulino again today (August 2020) and my 5-star rating reflects the drastic improvement. The manager was very attentive, keeping our drinks filled, and the music featured lovely Italian tunes from classic films—so charming! I'm happy to report the dreadful plastic tablecloths are gone too! Our food arrived promptly and was undoubtedly fresh. The calamari was perfectly cooked—crispy and not greasy—and the beef and cheese stuffed croquettes were tender and flavorful. We just went for dinner here. As soon as we walked in and sat down the tables were dirty. We were given coca-cola in the glass bottles with the straws in. No glass given to serve this. As soon as we sipped the drink with the straw, the drink overflowed and spilled all over the tables. I had to get off my table and go to the bar to request glasses. When given the menu, there was no information shared about the food that was not available. 3 food items that we wanted was not available and we found out only when ordering the food. I dined in for lunch and had a fantastic experience! The meal was definitely on the pricier side, costing over £100 per person, but every penny was worth it. During my visit, I was the only diner for most of the evening, which was a delightful experience on a weeknight. The gentleman who served me was incredibly generous and attentive, ensuring that everything was fresh and well-portioned. As a lovely gesture, he even offered me a delicious chocolate from his “private reserve.” Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

We unexpectedly entered the Indian restaurant on Sunday though we were ready for Italian food as Google says. We decided to have new experience and it was a good experience. We tried crab curry etc and they were very good We’ll go back for Indian and Italian again
