Remembered this restaurant from my last visit in Essen so I booked for a party of 6.We found our reservation without problems & were seated by the Italian speaking waiter who was warm & friendly.Went for some pizza with mushroom for a starter along with some caesar salad a burrata which were all very tasty.For main I had some pasta with salmon which was quite good while the rest had some branzino with organic sauce which was very tasty / black ink pasta which was good but definitely not the best my son in law tried / grilled salmon which was very good.The atmosphere is warm & cozy if a bit noisy due to some guests who happened to have a fair share of wine & were quite loud.The bill was not e...

The Place is nice and the waiter was very Kind. We ordered three pizzas and a dish of gnocchi.It took them 40 minutes to prepare them. One of us had ordered a pizza margherita and they took him another type, they offered to make a new one but, you know, after 40 mn we weren't in The mood. The gnocchi weren't good At all. They were listed under The fresh pasta, but The only thing that was fresh was their stay in The fridge. And for 9 euro they should do a Lot better than that.For now, definetely not recommended.

I'm still sitting in Il Mulino after an awesome dinner. The carpaccio was perfect, the fresh pasta Norvegese was incredible, but absolutely the best was the dessert. This has got to be one of top 3 tiramisus on my list.The staff was very nice and professional, serving quick but unnoticable. I would love to be able to speak italian to talk to the waiters.All in all a perfect experience. I'll come back sometime.

We always go here when we visit IPM Essen, and we have always been served excellent food. Real Italian feeling, also because of the Italian staff. It is a busy place and difficult to get a table if you don't book in advance. And sometimes you have to be really patient getting served. This time the waiting was a bit too long, but the food and wine really good, so we will be back next year again :-) Reserva una mesa ahora

We were there in a big group for business. Basically everyone chose something different from the menu, including a starter and a main course. Everything arrived perfectly on time and correct. And guess what! All the dishes were delicious! Including our original Italian friends who are great cooks themselves confirmed the food recipe and ingredients were original! Couldn't go wrong at all!!

I have been there 3 to 4 times in the last years, and the quality is always consistent. Everything I have been eating has always been to my satisfaction, the pizzas are great but so is the pasta or anything else.Service is friendly, this is really a good place to go to in this area of Essen.

Always busy, so if you are not very lucky you have to book. Sometimes a bit too much waiting for the food, but when it arrives its all forgotten. This is the place for excellent Italian food, generous portions and delicious vine served by the charming Italian staff.

I was there with some colleagues from different nations and I can confirm that it´s genuine italian run by italians and with italian personal. Food was delicious. Service nice. Reccomended "per mangiar bene"!

The home made pasta here is wonderful. But even good for a Pizza. Nice waiters. Very very clean! Waiters even wear gloves to rip the Parmesan. Good for business and Privat
