In-excess - Reserva de mesa

Been here in twice in October with a Colleague and wish it’d reviewed it then as it would be 5/5 as the food it excellent, the decor lovely and we had a great experience. Today however, it was very different. A sign saying “due to unforeseen circumstances the full menu wasn’t available” which is fair enough. The entrance was roped off with a lovely pink rope, yet the place was 1/2 full with customers. As we hovered waiting to see if there was a table, a very flustered and rude lady barked at us that she was now shut and her staff hadn’t had break since 8.30. I felt very embarrassed like it’d been told off at school. Nobody has spoken to me in hospitality like that for 30 years . I appreciate...

We enjoy having afternoon tea, and it was done exceptionally well in a charming setting. The sandwiches were complemented by small savory bites such as scotch egg pieces, quiche, and sausage roll slices. Everything looked and tasted delicious. The cakes and scones were equally excellent. We had bottomless pots of tea served in lovely teapots. We opted for juice with our tea, but could have chosen fizz for the same reasonable price. The ambiance and decor were charming, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning.

There were no clear menus or information about the food, water leaked from buckets scattered around, and there were only 2 highchairs in the entire cafe. It was a disappointing visit overall, although the plants were well cared for and the Christmas selection was decent. I would not recommend this cafe, especially for those with young children needing high chairs. Despite the appeal of a cafe in a garden center, this one fell short of expectations.

Visited cafe at garden centre in Landford to meet friends. Not a great experience. Not much choice left in cakes at 11.30 am and no sandwiches till 12 noon! Why???. Odd atmosphere amongst staff. Counter was relatively poorly stocked. Used to be much better when I last visited pre Covid. I know it’s difficult getting staff but need to make more of an effort. Absolutely terrible service, ordered 2 pastries which when we bit into were raw and the tea was horrible. Tables were filthy even though there were 5 members of staff, 2 went on their break even though no tables were cleared. Asked for them to clear our table and had to ask 2 more times. Very unfriendly staff. Would never recommend.

The cafe has been relocated to the garden center nearby. Although I am disappointed that I can no longer enjoy their delicious breakfasts, I did indulge in some delightful fruit cake and a good cup of tea. The staff were welcoming and friendly. While I will miss the cooked meals, I will definitely continue to frequent the cafe.

Called in for the first time for a coffee. Very very impressed with firstly the pleasant staff, also the clean premises. Our coffee was presented in proper cups and although the main menu wasnt on today, we decided to have quiche and pasty. All served with salads. Reasonable prices and will definitely be going back.

Brilliant place for lunch-despite not having full menu for a few weeks Tracey and her lovely staff still provide yummy snacks and cakes and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome-have recommended to many friends and cannot praise enough-thankyou Tracey and staff-will visit often Reserva una mesa ahora

Very slow service. Took nearly an hour for our food to arrive and wasn’t that busy. Also mine said thick cut ham with cheese but ham was wafer thin. Garden Centre Cafe.

I can’t believe the quality of the food that was sent out from such a small kitchen. First class service and hospitality from manager Tracy and her team
