I found The Inkan several years ago and have been hesitant to return ever since, and now I have even more reason to avoid it. I recently ordered a family combo, and it confirmed my decision to stay away. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but I ended up throwing it away too quickly. The sweet plantains were hard—not burnt, but unripe. The chicken tasted stale, like what I imagine old meat would taste like, and the rice was similarly stale and hard. I honestly don't understand how this restaurant is still in business, given the poor quality of the food. I won’t be ordering from here again.

The new owners are fantastic! The restaurant has impressive new management, and they've truly elevated the experience. Brian is one of the best servers in New York—he will make sure you’re well taken care of. Plus, they offer their delicious green sauce to go! This is definitely a must-visit restaurant in Long Island.

0 stars if I could. Food didn't have flavor and customer service was really bad. They serve complimentary chips and dip but they served our party (of 5) a tiny bowl of 6 tortilla chips. I legitimately laughed. Place was completely empty and we quickly realized why. Overall, do not recommend, eat elsewhere.

This restaurant is no longer what it used to be. I was very disappointed when we arrived, as the food and overall standards have significantly declined. Unfortunately, it was not great at all. We left feeling extremely let down because it did not meet our expectations and the quality was lacking. Reserva una mesa ahora

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. It used to be a Peruvian restaurant, but there has been a change in ownership and now it’s Salvadoran. They kept the same menu, but the food is quite different. I even asked if they had the same chef, and they falsely claimed they did. NOT IMPRESSED.

The maduros are wonderful, the fish was very fresh and tasty. The anticuchos were thin and overcooked. The chicken was very good. I liked that the side of rice and beans as 1 side not 2. The potatoes were really good.
