The service, provided by our waiter Mauricio, was exceptional. When I complimented the white wine without knowing its name, Mauricio went above and beyond by bringing us the empty bottle for a photo. He also kindly changed the TV channel from loud soccer to horse riding, which greatly improved our dining experience. Mauricio’s timely and courteous check-ins further enhanced our overall impression.
The food was outstanding, and we decided to skip dessert. With Mauricio’s attentive service and the delicious meals, I am pleased to give Madeira Sports Café a perfect score of 5 out of 5. We’re already excited about returning for another wonderful dinner and highly recommend it to others.
As for the food, it was just okay; I've had better elsewhere. We ordered the Bife a Casa (beef) and the mariscada (seafood) dishes, which were accompanied by bread and vegetables. The prices seemed a bit steep considering the flavors and portion sizes. The drinks were nothing to write home about, and we had visited based on recommendations for their food and drinks. However, given the overall experience, I’ll likely be steering clear of this place in the future.
Ordered 2 sandwiches off the lunch menu (pork and beef sandwich). Both came dry and with no toppings (literally a piece of meat between 2 slices of bread). Fries were also dry and stale. No condiments were given in the takeout bag either. Very disappointed as I was expecting better food based on the reviews.
Brought here for a staff lunch. Definitely was surprised based on walking into a bar. Had one of the specials, fish with tomato rice, and it was delicious. First time having Portuguese food and it was fantastic. Wine was great as well, and finished with espresso.

My girlfriends and I love going to this restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff is very friendly, and they are always there when we need them. It seems to attract a lovely and quiet family crowd. This is definitely our go-to place in the area.
I have never had Coelho à Caçador before, but it was fantastic. My husband and I loved it, and it was our first time trying it. This restaurant is a great discovery in the area, and we will definitely be ordering it again.
The service at this restaurant is excellent and the food is delicious. If you enjoy sports, this place has everything you need. I highly recommend it, you should definitely give it a try and enjoy!

The seafood with green sauce was decent at best. The grilled calamari was overly chewy, but the steamed clams were excellent.
The food is fresh and delectable.
