My Husband, my self, and five of our friends visited this spot last night. The ambiance was beautiful. This restaurant had a warm, cozy feel to it which is nice for date night. The waiter was nice and kind and kept our beverages coming while we waited on our food. The food was slow coming out. The reason I gave this restaurant a three in food was because of the small dinner menu choice, the ribeye ordered was salty, the potatoes were under seasoned, and the portions of food are only enough to hold you until you leave and can make it somewhere else to fill in the missed cravings of your tummy. 3.5/4 out of 5. NY Strip was overcooked. Waited 10 minutes for server even with a reservation. Food did come fairly quick, but it wasn't a busy evening at all. Hostess named Mariah(? was incredibly sweet and did an outstanding job. Service was a bit lackluster for this pricing. Had to get up to take things from other tables a couple times because our shakers were empty and then they took our silverware from dinner and didn't provide more when they brought the dessert.. Overall I'm giving a bit higher scores because of the hostess, as the food/service wasnt as good as I had hoped, but was still definitely good.
Although the location and atmosphere were excellent, unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our experience. Our family waited 35 minutes with empty tables before finally ordering brunch. The server was friendly and polite, but it seemed that the kitchen was severely understaffed. Our food arrived cold and was not worth the $135.00 price tag. With more restaurants opening up in the area, we have decided to explore other options and will not be returning here.
The food at the restaurant was fantastic. However, the service did not match the high prices. My dinner companion's meal was not prepared as requested (ordered rare, received medium-well). Our dishes were brought out in a confusing order, with my salsa arriving with his entree, followed by my entree two minutes later, and the appetizer 5 minutes after that. While the drinks were tasty, our waiter was not very attentive and I would have liked a second drink.

We had a reservation for 30 people. Unfortunately, the kitchen was out of the first two items we ordered, which was not the server's fault. However, the server seemed to have very few tables and was not very attentive. Our second round of drinks took too long to arrive and we didn't receive any water refills or check-ins throughout the meal. The food was just okay.
Our food was good but the service was very awkward and set the tone for a rather uncomfortable date. We had anticipated a much more romantic setting. We won’t return until it’s warmer outside to sit, it seems to be a nicer setting outside instead of the corner back farmhouse-looking area we were placed in for our reservation.
We were seated in the little nook by the wine cellar for a table of 6 and it was the perfect spot for a wonderful dining experience. Conversation was easy, without noise, and Maddie took great care of us. The coriander-crusted tuna was delicious, cooked medium rare. Loved the Caesar salad and the Homewood Tini! We'll be back!
I visited this restaurant for brunch and absolutely loved their avocado toast and eggs benedict. The chicken waffle was also delicious, with the chicken cooked inside the waffle, making it much easier to eat. I was surprised to find that no other place offers a chicken waffle like this one!

Everything was exceptional from beginning to end . Food and service were 5 star. Quiet atmosphere and each staff member highly attentive to needs. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Birmingham. Do yourself a favor and get the bacon and collard greens.
