Food was pretty good but the service was a complete mess, we placed an order for lasagna to go, 15 mins later we go check on it, the guy had no idea about a lasagna and made it seem like they didnt make it so we waited while he made another one, tells us 5 mins. 10 mins past and its not done so we went to check and he was attemting to give us a whole different customers meal, apparently he made the lasagna the first time and had it packaged already but literally forgot.. also some of the workers had some questionable behavior... First time at this legendary establishment, will be the only time . The employees behind the counter were yelling at each others. Dropping the “f” bomb frequently. Should’ve been my clue to run but didn’t . The food was less than mediocre. My daughter had lasagna with noodles so hard they were inedible the shredded carrots from the salad bar were slimy. Classic spot in Carbondale. Great food, great atmosphere best salad bar around. Good pizza and pasta, free ice cream, and an arcade for the kids. Don't forget to bring a sharpie to leave your mark! Sort of a hidden gem among Carbondale restaurants. Low key casual place that has been around as long as I can remember. Very good basic Italian food. Great for families and students. Check it out on the map before you leave home. Not on any major streets.
