The entire building was unclean, with dust accumulating on various surfaces around our table and spider webs hanging from the walls. The shrimp dish was served with undercooked shrimp, and when we mentioned it to a staff member, we were informed it was a known issue, yet they still chose to serve it. The Italian beef was quite basic and lacked seasoning, while the lasagna portion seemed to be a child's serving. IV's used to be a fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere, but our group couldn't help but wonder if it would still be around in a year or two given its current decline. I no longer live in Southern Illinois. But when I come to visit my relatives I always come here. I am 70 years old and I remember coming here as a teenager with my friends! The pizza is still absolutely delicious and the salad bar is second to none! However the little young lady at the cash register could be a little more friendly and smile once in awhile. Not the best person to have at the cash register until she learns to be more customer-friendly. Just say'in.
I really enjoy the pizza, but I’m not a fan of the owner! There have been some problems lately with incorrect orders and undercooked pizza, but when it’s made correctly, the pizza is fantastic. During my time working at Walgreens, I noticed that the owner shopped there frequently, and every time I saw him, he was trying to scam with coupons. It’s disappointing to see a local businessman behaving like a con artist!
The pizza here isn't anything extraordinary, but it's been around for ages and has its own unique charm that makes it worth a visit. If you choose to go for chains like Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Papa John's instead, you're contributing to the decline of local businesses and community support. That's not a great choice for anyone who values local culture.

Food was great. But the service sucked to be honest. The girl who took the order was rude and seemed to hate her job!! Once pizza was out nobody checked on us at all I myself went to get plates, silverware etc they forgot our appetizer. Then while leaving 5 staff were n parking lot riding a scooter back in fourth!! Again service sucked!!!
Great customer service. Salad bar was well stocked with many choices. Ham and cheese was made fresh and delicious. And don't forget your free ice cream cone. Still and yummy as I remember as a child coming here.
