I was working at the back of this place last week and went to its a kinda magic. OMG ..... I have extremely high standards and this place was brilliant. I ordered a bacon , sausage and cheese with red sauce and wasn't expecting what I tasted. I have been to many greasy spoons but put this establishment in the category of the Merseyside ritz or savoy of culinary expertise. The fact that they were great the first time was good enough but I went again today off spec and it tasted even better. Keep it up and move to Preston. Lovin' it xxx
I would not advise anyone visits this cafe!!! precooked and out of date food. Everything was stale and the workers are extremely rude, the sausages smell of amonia and the floors are very dusty. I was told i couldn’t be served after 12 despite the closing time being 1 as “the grill was off” and after a long day of work this wasn’t what i would like to be told. My stomach also did not feel right after eating the plastic cheese and burnt toast.
I only stopped in for a quick bacon and tomato sandwich, but it was terrible. The bread was slightly hard and tasted old, the tomatoes were tasteless, and the bacon was mostly fat. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten, and at £4.50 it was a rip-off. I only took one bite before giving up on it. Save yourself the trouble and go to McDonald's instead.
Fantastic friendly service with excellent quality food cooked to order and great specials throughout the day. You can even phone your order in and get it delivered locally. Just a small note for anyone with asthma... the log fire smoke leaks back into the room in the winter.

Came across this little gem of a place when we moved to Halebank 2 years ago and I can honestly say the breakfasts are the best my husband and I have ever tasted. The staff are always pleasant and nothing is too much for them.
Fantastic. Easy to get to. Easy to park. Perfect size breakfast. Choice of bacon. Mug not chipped. Doesn't support The Sun. Proper HP and red sauce. National treasure.
best caffe for miles, eating was always amazing and the owner and the staff are friendly and always smiling.
Real good food always tasty always hot very reasonable prices. Staff were always welcomeing and pleasant.
