Ivy Room - Reserva de mesa

I have been coming to the Ivy Room for a few years now. It is truly one of the best music venues in the bay area. The owners are wonderful people and the space is perfect small venue so you can enjoy the bands up close and personal. They have a really nice bar. The bartenders are always great. Last night I let the bartender choose my whiskey and she picked a winner. Drink was delicious and not overly priced. Parking is usually relatively easy especially compared to San Francisco. Quite possibly my favorite music venue. I've been going to shows for 40 years and, for the last 30 years, I've been in just about every venue in the Bay Area to see bands and AS the band. As an audience member, and as a musician, the sound quality is never what it could be. Sometimes it's the shape of the room, sometimes it's the equipment, most of the time it's the person running the board. The Ivy room has GREAT SOUND. Luck? Talent? Engineering? Who cares why? It is the only place that hasn't made me want to commandeer control of the board. How do they do it? It remains a mystery that I don't need to solve. Small venue, laid back atmosphere. The bartenders are chill and friendly even when it's busy loud from the bands playing live. The staff door people were genuine human beings too. I was surprised even the patrons here were just dope people too. I guess it's the music that brang us all together . Bathrooms were clean too.
